“I enjoy the variety and flexibility the job provides as well as being able to form on-going associations with our clients.”
What do I do?
A bit of anything and everything. Being a small firm, I provide support to Mark with whatever is required at any given time and liaise with our other administrator. I have a particular interest in the property and conveyancing transactions that we undertake.
What do I enjoy about what I do?
I enjoy the variety the job brings as well as the flexibility that comes from working locally and being part of this firm. This also allows us to form on-going associations with our clients over time and with their differing circumstances which is also very rewarding.
What have I done in the past?
I have always had a desire to work with people and this initially lead me to a job at Work and Income after leaving school. Working in the investigation department fueled my interest in law and I decided to study for an LLB at Auckland. I have had several other jobs to fund overseas travel and study, including bar work and various administration positions such as a legal annotator.
What do I do outside my work?
I am very much a family person and they take up a lot of my time! I enjoy socializing and time with family and friends. To stay fit, I participate in team sports and can be spotted walking up Mt Albert on a fine day. To relax I like to read novels of all genres and spend time at our family crib on the Coromandel.
What would I do if I wasn’t a lawyer?
Something creative such as a photographer, designer or performer. Not because I am good at any of these things – I just always wish I had been!
